“Threaten or be threatened! This piece capturing game is easily accessible to those new to the game but still exciting for those veterans as game play is simple but strategy is very dynamic. The classic 3-person game is always fun but it is also easily modifiable to 2-4 players and even more if you get creative and combine sets. This game never gets old.”

“Threaten has been a new staple in the game cupboard. Whether playing classic three player or even a wild four player round, it never ceases to entertain. Each game presents new challenges and tactics to use against your opponents. The balance of the gameplay levels the play field, no matter the skill level. No single game is the exact same as the last! What’s not to love?”

“Threaten offers a new dimension to piece capturing games. With 3 players, being one step ahead won’t cut it. I enjoy the game because you have to pay attention to two opponents at once, while at the same time strategizing your approach to attack. You can’t simply play offense or defense and expect to win a game that stretches your game playing capabilities. An absolutely dynamic and fun game to play!”

"It's a game of false treaties, backstabbing, and joyous attack. The three person play makes this board game so much more exciting than your 1v1 games. Be ready for late nights and plenty of rematches."

"What I really like about the game is that it shares a lot of nuances with Chess. You have to think moves ahead, you have to think about your opponent's position on the board, but it shares nothing with Chess and is just as exciting. I think it's a great three player game!"
